Trying something new.We are going to take a shot at a demographic that we haven't specifically targeted with FlingGolf by New Swarm, but one that many of our players belong to - the outdoor enthusiasts.In our surveys of our players, #camping, #fishing, #hiking and #hunting rank up near the top of other activities that they partake in when they're not playing FlingGolf. So, we are exhibiting at the The Boston Outdoor Expo for the first time this weekend and I am personally very fired up for it because I have spent much of my life banging around in the outdoors.I am excited to see lots of other potential customers, but also other exhibitors, like Polar Beverages, Cotopaxi, Big Agnes Inc, New England Forestry Foundation, Eastern Mountain Sports, Marathon Sports, InnSeason Resorts, and more.For anyone in New England/Boston area, you can use the code FlingGolf to get a free ticket on us to come see our booth and these other cool brands and speakers.

Those that know me know that my passion combines sports, #entrepreneurialism and #conservation. I didn't necessarily start FlingGolf by New Swarm to combine those in a business, but I am thrilled that #FlingGolf does offer an option for getting outdoors on a golf course that has inherently less impact than #golf.As we move forward in this journey, I am also excited to explore ways that we can bring a fresh approach to the traditional and often archaic and harmful activities of equipment companies and leagues, through FlingGolf by New Swarm and World League FlingGolfMy ambition is to follow the lead of businesses like Patagonia and Burton Snowboards, but also to blaze new trails combining #sports #business and the #environment. We will be studying the options of 1% for the Planet B Lab and gaining insight from players like Jeremy Casebeer and Chris Dickerson among others.

I was fortunate last year to play FlingGolf by New Swarm in 4 The Future Foundation’s golf outing with my son. I’m proud that our sport has its roots in #lacrosse, especially because of lacrosse’s heritage and the opportunity to learn so much about it as the Creator’s game. It is not just another sport. I see it as an opportunity for sports enthusiasts to gain insight into the meaning the sport plays for the indigenous cultures on this continent. And now, as lacrosse becomes more popular both in youth sports and the collegiate and professional game (see Premier Lacrosse League and the work of Paul Rabil and Michael Rabil) and is once again becoming an Olympic sport, it can provide the opportunity to share those important values even further than ever before.

It was great to meet Turner L. down at the PGA Golf Shows in Orlando in January to hear more about his vision for Fore Craft co*cktails.
